I am Antranig Vartanian, co-founder and CEO of illuria, Inc., Unix fanatic, and your go-to consultant for FreeBSD-powered security and container solutions.
I grew up tinkering on vintage SunOS boxes in Aleppo, Syria, and since then have honed my skills in data centers all around Europe and Armenia. Today, I lead development of ProfilerX—a next-gen honeypot platform—and jailer/jailerctl, lightweight FreeBSD container orchestration tools.
I also run CERT-AM, Armenia’s national incident response team, where I coordinate threat intelligence and policy for critical infrastructure.
Over the years, I have:
I regularly share insights on network security, FreeBSD internals, Elixir/Erlang/OTP and open-source best practices via blog posts and public talks.
Feel free to check out the services that I can provide.
Overall, at the end of the day, I solve problems. Here's a list of things that I like to work on, but again, my job is to solve problems.
I've spent most of my time working on Elixir/Erlang/OTP, FreeBSD, Jails, ZFS, DTrace, DNS, NTP, Oberon, POSIX Shell, Packaging Software, running Honeypots at scale and stuff in between. And yes, I do training and mentoring for organizations and individuals.
I've also been doing livestreams with Armenian Hackers Radio since 2019, which you can find here.
